Lotte Croes
Artist Painter

Exploring colour, movement and texture to create beauty that carries meaning.Born in Belgium in 1991, Lotte Croes is a self-taught artist working primarily with acrylic paint and ink.
Her artistic journey began in 2021, when she discovered acrylic pouring and became fascinated by the unpredictable movement of fluid paint. Since then, she has continued to explore colour, texture, movement, and the delicate balance between intention and spontaneity.
Lotte’s art is deeply inspired by her faith. She sees creativity as a reflection of the Creator — a gift to imagine, create, discover and bring something unseen into the visible. For her, the creative process becomes a space of intimacy and conversation: a place of listening, responding and allowing something new to emerge.
At the heart of her work is a desire to create substantial beauty — beauty that carries meaning. In a world where beauty can sometimes become detached from depth or substance, Lotte wants her paintings to hold something more: a story, a process, a question, an encounter.
Her paintings are not simply about what is aesthetically pleasing, but about what lies beneath it.
Through colour, texture and movement, Lotte seeks to create work that invites the viewer to pause, look deeper, and perhaps encounter something beyond the painting itself.
